Laurie enjoys relaxing with family and friends hiking, golfing, skiing, taking in art, film, professional and amateur sporting events. Her community volunteerism over the years includes coaching Marin youth sports (baseball, softball and soccer), volunteering for the Youth in Arts Council and Hospice by the Bay.

Laurie holds a GREEN designation from the National Association of Realtors as an extension of her concern for the environment and interest in wholistic health. Over the years, Laurie has been an active member of the Marin Realtor Association serving as a Board Member, Executive Committee Member and working on a variety of committees. Additionally, her professional background includes an award-winning sales career in luxury consumer goods, real estate journalism and marketing. Originally from Washington, DC and Chicago, Laurie holds a B.A. degree in Public Relations from Southern Illinois University where she wrote for the university newspaper, chaired committees for the Public Relations (Student) Society of America and was an NCAA Division 1 athlete and Junior Olympian.
